What ACIBAN L is used for?
It is used in the treatment of
Dyspeptic syndrome: from delayed gastric emptying related to organic factors or functional factors
Nausea and vomiting induced by anticancer drugs
GORD (to treat gastro-oesophageal reflux disease), to prevent recurrence of the disease after the symptoms have disappeared
Stomach and duodenal ulcers
Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: whose stomachs may contain extremely high amounts of acid
Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
Are allergic to levosulpiride, pantoprazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Are allergic to other proton pump inhibitor medicines
Have hypertension which is suspected to be due to pheochromocytoma (tumor of adrenal gland)
Have heart failure
Have risk factors for stroke
Have epilepsy
Have breast cancer
Have a stomach tumour
Have liver problems
Suffer from gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical obstructions or perforations
Have difficulty in swallowing or pain when swallowing
Have history of clinical thrombosis, since the medicine is associated with the formation of thrombi
Have reduced body stores or risk factors for reduced vitamin B12
Have low levels of magnesium, potassium or calcium levels in the blood
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
Take the tablet whole with little amount of water
The tablet should not be chewed or crushed
If you take more ACIBAN L
Contact your doctor or go to the nearest hospital immediately
If you forget to take ACIBAN L
If you have forgotten to take a dose, take it immediately when you remember and continue the treatment as usual
If it is almost time to take the next dose, you should not take the forgotten tablet
If you stop taking ACIBAN L
Do not stop taking unless told by your doctor
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Pantoprazole
Swelling of the tongue and/or throat
Difficulty in swallowing, hives (nettle rash)
Difficulties in breathing
Allergic facial swelling
Dizziness with very fast heartbeat and heavy sweating
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking
Medicines that cause electrolyte disturbances
Medicines such as neuroleptics e.g, aripiprazole,clonazapine ,quetiapine
Are taking HIV protease inhibitors such as atazanavir (for the treatment of HIV-infection)
Antipsychotics
Medicines such as ketoconazole, itraconazole and posaconazole (used to treat fungal infections)
Erlotinib (used for certain types of cancer)
Warfarin and phenprocoumon, which affect the thickening, or thinning of the blood. Methotrexate (used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and cancer)
Rifampicin (used to treat infections)
St John’s wort (Hypericum perforatum) (used to treat mild depression)

Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Store at room temperature (15-25°C)
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
