What ACTOID 10MG is used for?
ACTOID 10MG is a medicine used to treat severe forms of psoriasis in adults
Talk to your Doctor before using this medicine If you
Have severe liver or kidney disease
Have repeated high blood lipids (fat in the blood)
Are allergic to acitretin
Have diabetes or high blood sugar
Have high cholesterol or high triglycerides (fat in the blood)
Have heart disease
Have depression
Are alcoholic
Undergoing phototherapy
Take ACTOID 10MG with food
Always take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor
The dose of ACTOID 10MG varies from patient to patient. The number of capsules you must take is chosen specially for you by your prescriber. This dose may change during treatment
If you take more of ACTOID 10MG
Contact your doctor or go to nearest hospital immediately
If you forget to take ACTOID 10MG
If you miss a dose, do not double the next dose. Skip the missed dose and resume your normal schedule
If you stop taking ACTOID 10MG
Consult with your doctor before stop taking this medicine
The symptoms may reappear if you stop taking this medicine suddenly
Like all medicine, this medicine can cause side effects although not everybody gets them.
Severe headaches, nausea, vomiting, blurred vision. These symptoms can be signs of increased brain pressure that can lead to blindness or even death
Vision problems. Decreased vision in the dark (night blindness)
Depression, mental problems including a depressed mood, aggressive feelings, or thoughts of ending their own life (suicide)
Aches or pains in your bones, joints, muscles, or back, trouble moving, or loss of feeling in your hands or feet
Increased blood sugar level marked by frequent urination, great thirst or hunger, even if you do not already have diabetes
Shortness of breath, dizziness, nausea, chest pain, weakness, trouble speaking, or swelling of a leg
Blood vessel problems
Serious allergic reactions (hives, itching, swelling of your face, mouth, or tongue, or breathlessness
Tell your prescriber about all the medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements especially the following medicines such as
Methotrexate
Tetracyclines (eg. Doxycycline)
Glyburide
Phenytoin
Vitamin A supplements
Progestin-only oral contraceptives (“minipills”)
Eetretinate
John’s wort herbal supplement
Storage
Store at room temperature (15-25°C)
