It is used to treat depression
It is to reduce and gradually remove the symptoms related to your depression
Talk to your Doctor, if you:
Are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Hepatic impairment
Are obese or overweight
Are diabetic
Have increased levels of liver enzymes before treatment
Have bipolar disorder
Have experienced or if you develop manic symptoms (a period of abnormally high excitability and emotions)
Are suffering from dementia
Have previously had thoughts about killing or harming yourself
Are smoking more than 15 cigarettes/day
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
AGOPREX 25MG is not intended for use in children and adolescents (under 18 years old)
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
Swallow the tablet with a drink of water
It can be taken with or without food
If you take more AGOPREX 25MG
If you have taken more AGOPREX 25MG than you should or if for example a child has taken medicine by accident, contact your doctor immediately
Symptoms of overdosage includes pain in the upper part of the stomach, somnolence, fatigue, agitation, anxiety, tension, dizziness, cyanosis or malaise
If you forget to take AGOPREX 25MG
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. Just carry on with the next dose at the usual time
If you stop taking AGOPREX 25MG
Do not stop taking your medicine without the advice of your doctor even if you feel better
Headache
Dizziness, sleepiness (somnolence)
Difficulty in sleeping (insomnia)
Nausea, vomiting
Diarrhoea, constipation, abdominal pain, back pain
Tiredness, anxiety
Increased levels of liver enzymes in your blood
Migraine, pins and needles in the fingers and toes (paraesthesia)
Blurred vision, restless legs syndrome (a disorder that is characterized by an uncontrollable urge to move the legs)
Ringing in the ears
Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis)
Eczema, pruritus, urticaria (hives)
Agitation, irritability, restlessness
Aggressive behavior, nightmares
Mania/hypomania
Suicidal thoughts or behavior, confusion, weight decreased
Serious skin eruption (erythematous rash)
Face edema (swelling)
Angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue and/or throat that may cause difficulty in breathing or swallowing)
Hepatitis, yellow coloration of the skin or the whites of the eyes (jaundice)
Hepatic failure (few cases resulting in liver transplantation or death have been reported)
Hallucinations, inability to remain still (due to physical and mental unrest)
Inability to completely empty the bladder
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
Fluvoxamine (used to treat depression)
Ciprofloxacin, enoxacin (used to treat infections)
Propranolol (a beta-blocker used in the treat hypertension)
Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
