What ALCIDDP 30/40MG is used for?
It is used to treat:
Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease’ (GORD), a condition in which the acid from the stomach escapes into the gullet (the tube which connects your throat to your stomach) causing pain, inflammation and heartburn
Ulcers in the stomach or upper part of the gut (intestine)
Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine if you:
Are allergic to domperidone, esomeprazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have severe liver or kidney problems
Have a blockage in your intestines
Have heart problems
Have a medical condition that alters the potassium level in blood
Have osteoporosis
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
You can take ALCIDDP 30/40MG after food or on an empty stomach
Swallow ALCIDDP 30/40MG whole with a drink of water
Do not chew or crush this medicine
If you take more ALCIDDP 30/40MG
If you have taken more ALCIDDP 30/40MG, contact your doctor immediately
If you forget to take ALCIDDP 30/40MG
If you miss a dose, take your medicine as soon as you remember
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop taking ALCIDDP 30/40MG
Do not stop taking ALCIDDP 30/40MG until your doctor advises you to do so
Like all medicines, this medicine may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Domperidone:
Swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, face, lips or throat which may cause difficulty in swallowing or breathing, itchy, lumpy rash or nettle rash
Very fast or unusual heartbeat
Esomeprazole:
Fracture of the hip, wrist or spine (if esomeprazole is used in high doses and over long duration)
Tell your doctor if you are taking medicines such as
Ketoconazole, fluconazole or voriconazole used for fungal infections
Phenytoin used to treat epilepsy
Warfarin used to treat and prevent blood clots
Erythromycin, clarithromycin, moxifloxacin used for bacterial infections
Amiodarone, quinidine disopyramide, sotalol, diltiazem used for heart problems or high blood pressure
Haloperidol, pimozide, sertindole used to treat psychoses
Citalopram, escitalopram, imipramine used to treat depression
Cisapride, dolasetron, prucalopride used to treat gastro-intestinal disorders
Mequitazine, mizolastine used to treat allergy
Halofantrine used to treat malaria
Toremifene, vincamine, erlotinib used to treat cancer
Atazanavir used to treat HIV
Cilostazol (used to treat intermittent claudication – a pain in your legs when you walk which is caused by an insufficient blood supply)
Clopidogrel used to prevent blood clots
Digoxin used for heart problems
Tacrolimus, methotrexate used to reduce the immune response
Rifampicin used for treatment of tuberculosis

Keep out of reach of children
Store at room temperature (15-25ºC)
Do not use the tablets after the expiry date
