What ALDO TL is used for?
It is used to treat high blood pressure, chest pain due to narrowing of the blood vessels of the heart muscle (angina pectoris) or the rarer form of chest pain caused by cramping of the blood vessels of the heart muscle called Prinzmetal or variant angina
Talk to your doctor before taking ALDO TL, If you:
Are allergic to Amlodipine Besylate and Telmisartan or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Are suffering from narrowing of the aortic heart valve (aortic stenosis) or cardiogenic shock (a condition where your heart is unable to supply enough blood to the body)
Suffer from chest pain at rest or with minimal effort (unstable angina pectoris)
Have severe low blood pressure (hypotension)
Have liver problems
Have heart failure or have suffered a heart attack during the past month
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
Do not take ALDO TL with grapefruit juice
Take one time each day at the same time
Take this medicine with or without food
If you take more ALDO TL
If you take too much ALDO TL, call your doctor, or go to the nearest hospital right away
If you forget to take ALDO TL
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to your next dose, do not take the missed dose. Take the next dose at your regular time
Tell your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following symptoms after taking this medicine
Sudden wheeziness, chest pain, shortness of breath or difficulty in breathing
Swelling of eyelids, face or lips
Swelling of the tongue and throat which causes great difficulty breathing
Severe skin reactions including intense skin rash, hives, reddening of the skin over your whole body, severe itching, blistering, peeling and swelling of the skin
Abnormal heart beat
Severe abdominal and back pain
Tell your doctor if you are taking
Medicines that can lower blood pressure (e.g. verapamil, diltiazem)
Ketoconazole and itraconazole (medicines used to treat skin and fungal infections)
Ritonavir (medicines used to treat HIV infections)
Clarithromycin, rifampicin (antibiotics)
Nefazodone (medicine to treat depression)
John’s wort (Hypericum perforatum; herbal medicine for depression)
Dexamethasone used to treat inflammatory and autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis
Verapamil, diltiazem, ramipril (heart medicines)
Dantrolene (infusion for severe body temperature abnormalities)
Tacrolimus (medicine used to alter the way your immune system works)
Simvastatin (cholesterol lowering medicine)
Cyclosporine (an immunosuppressant)
Phenobarbital, phenytoin and carbamazepin (medicines for epilepsy)
Ritonavir, Indinavir, Nelfinavir, Nevirapine (antiviral medicine used to treat HIV and AIDS)
Sildenafil, lithium
Diuretic
Store at room temperature 15ºC to 25ºC
Keep it out of reach of children
Do not use your tablets after the expiry date
