What ATEN D is used for?
It is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure)
Talk to your doctor if you:
Are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have heart problems
Have very slow or uneven heart beats
Have diabetes
Have thyrotoxicosis
Have severe kidney or liver disease
Are suffering from gout
Have an overactive thyroid gland (hyperparathyroidism)
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
Swallow the medicine whole with enough water
Do not chew or crush the medicine
If you take more ATEN D
If you take more of this medicine, talk to your doctor or go to nearest hospital immediately
If you forget to take ATEN D
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is time for your next dose
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop taking ATEN D
Do not stop taking this medicine without talking to your doctor
Allergic reactions such as raised lumps on your skin or swelling of your face, lips, mouth, tongue or throat
An abnormal heart beat, feeling dizzy, tired or fainting
Shortness of breath or having swollen ankles
Severe stomach pain which may reach through to your back
Abnormal liver function, loss of appetite, feeling or being sick, swollen extremities, yellow skin which leads to hepatic encephalopathy
Tell your doctor about any other medicine you are taking,
Drugs used to treat high blood pressure
Drugs used to treat heart problems
Ibuprofen or indomethacin (for pain and inflammation)
Medicines used for diabetes
Medicines used to treat nose or sinus congestion or other cold remedies
Lithium (used to treat depression)
Stimulant laxatives
Medicines used to treat infection
Oral corticosteroids used to treat severe asthma and rheumatoid arthritis
Baclofen (to treat muscle stiffness)
Ciclosporin, tacrolimus to treat severe rheumatic or dermatological diseases
Cisapride

Store at a room temperature of 15-25ÂșC
