What AVOMINE is used for?
It is used to treat:
Allergic conditions such as hay fever, rashes (nettle rash or hives)
Adults with difficult sleeping (insomnia)
Nausea and vomiting (travel sickness)
Driving & Using Machines
Talk to your Doctor, if you:
Are allergic or hypersensitive to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have difficulty breathing, wheezing, tightness in the chest (asthma) or an infection in your lungs (bronchitis)
Have epilepsy
Have any serious heart problems
Have liver or kidney problems
Have a stomach blockage or difficulty passing urine
Have hearing problems
Have increased pressure in the eye (narrow angle glaucoma)
Have or had viral illness (Reye’s Syndrome)
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
Swallow this medicine with a glass of water
If you take more AVOMINE
If you take more than the prescribed dose, tell your doctor or go to nearest hospital
Symptoms of overdose: excitation, moving unsteadily or stumbling, uncontrolled writhing movements especially of the hands or feet, hallucinations, loss of consciousness, uneven heartbeat and breathing difficulties, sleepiness or drowsiness
If you forget to take AVOMINE
It is important to take your medicine regularly at the same time each day. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is time for your next dose. In that case, just carry on with the next dose as normal
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop taking AVOMINE
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Serious
Allergic reaction: rash, swallowing or breathing problems, swelling of your lips, face, throat or tongue
Liver problems (eyes or skin to go yellow)
Muscle stiffness or shaking, unable to control some muscles in head or face
Unusual movements of the tongue, facial muscle spasms, rolling eyes and trembling
Very fast, uneven or forceful heartbeat (palpitations), irregular heartbeat
Tiredness, drowsiness or sleepiness, disorientation, having nightmares, headaches, restlessness
In children: over-active behaviour
Dry mouth, blurred vision or unable to pass urine
Loss of appetite (anorexia), indigestion
Faint (hypotension)
Confusion (elder)
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
Medicines used to treat depression
Medicines used for irritable bowel syndrome, asthma or weak bladder
Diazepam, zolpidem (used to help you to sleep or feel more relaxed)
Aspirin (used for arthritis and pain in your joints)
Storage
Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
