What BENGREAT is used for?
It is used to,
Treat hypertension, renal parenchymal hypertension, angina pectoris
Talk to your Doctor, if you:
Are allergic to BENGREAT or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have cardiogenic shock
Have low blood pressure
Have serious hepatic function disorder
Are elderly
Avoid grape juice while taking BENGREAT since excessive reduction in blood pressure may occur.
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
Swallow the tablets with a drink of water. Do not chew or crush them
The dosage may be adjusted depending on the age and symptoms of the patient and can be increased up to 8 mg once daily if the effect is not satisfactory with 2 to 4 mg
For severe hypertension, 4 to 8 mg is taken once daily after breakfast
For adults 2 to 4 mg is given once daily after breakfast
For Angina pectoris:
For adults: 4 mg of is given twice daily after breakfast and supper
If you take more BENGREAT
If you (or someone else) accidentally take too many tablets, you should tell your doctor at once or contact the nearest casualty department. Symptoms of Over dosage may cause excessive reduction in blood pressure
If you forgot to take BENGREAT
Do not worry. If you miss a dose, wait until it is time for your next dose, then go on as normal. Do not take a double dose
If you Stop taking BENGREAT
Do not stop taking BENGREAT unless your doctor instructs you to do so
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Hepatic function disorder or jaundice
Tell your doctor about any other medicine you are taking such as:
Digoxin, medicine used to treat heart problems
Rifampicin, medicine used to treat tuberculosis
Itraconazole, medicine used to fungal infections
Storage
Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Store at room temperature (15-25°C)
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
