What BETADINE is used for? It is used to treat, Skin infections Disinfection of Wounds, cuts, abrasions and burns Postoperative wounds Prophylaxis against infection in hospital and surgery procedures

Talk to your doctor before using BETADINE, if you: Are allergic to povidone iodine or any of the other ingredients Have thyroid problems

Always apply this medicine as exactly as your doctor told you The affected area should be cleaned and dried Apply full strength, as a paint, or soak or spray as often as needed Do not use the dressing longer than 1 week For external use only If you apply more BETADINE Contact your doctor or go to the nearest hospital without delay

Serious Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Irritation, swelling or redness Systemic effects include metabolic acidosis

Tell your doctor if you are taking, Benzalkonium chloride Bupivacaine liposomal (medicine used to reduce severe pain) Lidocaine (topical anesthetic) Collagenase Lithium Fibrin sealant, human (medicine used to control bleeding)

Storage Keep this medicine out of reach of children Do not use this medicine after the expiry date Store at room temperature (15-25ºC)
