Talk to Doctor Talk to your Doctor if you: are allergic to BUSPIN 5MG or any of the other ingredients of this medicine have epilepsy had impaired liver or kidney function in the past have acute narrow-angle glaucoma have myasthenia gravis, a disorder characterised by muscle weakness, difficulty chewing or swallowing and slurred speech have had any drug dependence Pregnancy & Breast Feeding Do not take BUSPIN 5MG tablets if you are pregnant or are breast-feeding If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine Children & Adolescents BUSPIN 5MG is not recommended to Children and Adolescents Driving & Using Machines BUSPIN 5MG may make you feel sleepy, drowsy or dizzy. Do not drive while taking this medicine until you know how it affects you

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you Swallow the tablets with water, at the same time each day Do not break, crush or chew the tablets It should be taken consistently with or without food However, the medicine is taken on the day one should be continued thereafter If you take more BUSPIN 5MG If you (or someone else) swallow a lot of the tablets at the same time, contact your nearest hospital or tell your doctor immediately Symptoms of an overdose include are feeling or being sick, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, ringing or buzzing in the ears, restlessness, restriction of the pupils, stomach problems, slow heartbeat, low blood pressure, fits and extrapyramidal symptoms (difficulty in speaking or swallowing, loss of balance control, mask-like face, shuffling walk, stiffness of arms and legs, trembling or shaking of hands or fingers) If you forget to take BUSPIN 5MG Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. If you forget to take a dose take it as soon as you remember it and then take the next dose at the right time If you stop taking BUSPIN 5MG Talk to your doctor before you stop taking the tablets and follow their advice

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Serious Serotonin syndrome : Symptoms are feeling confused, feeling restless, sweating, shaking, shivering, hallucinations (strange visions or sounds), sudden jerks of the muscles or a fast heartbeat allergic reactions such as itching, difficulty breathing or swelling of the face, lips, throat or tongue Common dizziness, headache, sleepiness nervousness, difficulty in sleeping, disturbance in attention, depression, confused state anger, pins and needles, tingling, blurred vision, abnormal coordination, tremor, ringing or buzzing in the ears racing heart (abnormally fast heart rhythm), chest pain blocked nose, sore throat, feeling and being sick stomach pain, dry mouth, diarrhoea, constipation, cold sweats, rash, pain in the muscles, tendons, ligaments and bone mental and physical tiredness Rare Bruising, itchy skin rash caused by allergic reaction - pale or red irregular raised patches with severe itching (hives) Very Rare psychosis, hallucinations fits, tunnel vision, extrapyramidal disorder (tremor, slurred speech, restlessness (akathisia) dystonia (affecting posture – muscle spasm or the neck, shoulders or body) muscle rigidity, difficulty controlling movement/jerky movements fainting, total or partial memory loss, lack of muscle control restless leg syndrome over production of breast milk

Tell your doctor if you are taking: benzodiazepine e.g. nitrazepam or temazepam (used to treat epilepsy) sedative or hypnotic medicine (used as a hypnotic to induce sleep) monoamine-oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) e.g.: phenelzine and tranylcypromine, St. John’s Wort, nefazodone and L-tryptophan, fluvoxamine, trazodone, selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs) e.g. fluoxetine and paroxetine (used to treat depression) haloperidol and lithium (used to treat mental illness) calcium channel blockers such as diltiazem and verapamil (used to treat high blood pressure) rifampicin (used to treat tuberculosis) triptan drugs e.g. sumatriptan (used to treat migraine) tramadol (used as a painkiller) baclofen (used to treat muscle relaxant) lofexidine (used to manage drug withdrawal) nabilone (used to treat nausea and vomiting) antihistamines (used to treat allergic reactions) erythromycin, itraconazole and linezolid (used to treat infections) diltiazem (used to treat angina) digoxin (used to treat heart failure) phenobarbital, phenytoin, carbamazepine (used to treat epilepsy) cimetidine (used to treat stomach ulcers) diazepam (used to treat anxiety) warfarin (used to treat blood clots)
