What BVERT OD 32MG is used for?
It is used to treat Meniere's disease – the signs of this include
Feeling dizzy (vertigo)
Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
Hearing loss or hearing difficulty
Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
Are allergic to Betahistine dihydrochloride or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have a pheochromocytoma, a rare tumor of the adrenal gland
Have a stomach ulcer (peptic ulcer)
Have asthma
Have nettle rash, skin rash or a cold in the nose caused by an allergy, since these symptoms may be exacerbated
Have low blood pressure
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
Swallow the tablets with a glass of water
BVERT OD 32MG can be taken with or without food
The usual dose is 24 mg to 48 mg per day
If you take more BVERT OD 32MG
If you take more BVERT OD 32MG (an overdose), you may feel sick (nauseous), sleepy or have stomach pain
Talk to a doctor or go to a hospital immediately
If you forget to take BVERT OD 32MG
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop taking BVERT OD 32MG
Don’t stop taking BVERT OD 32MG until your doctor tells you to stop so
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Swelling of your face, lips, tongue or neck
A drop in your blood pressure
Loss of consciousness
Difficulty in breathing
Tell your doctor if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines such as
Anti-histamines used to treat allergies
Monoamine-oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) used to treat depression or Parkinson's disease
Storage
Keep out of reach of children
Store at room temperature (15-25°C)
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
