What DIFLUP is used for?
It is used to treat:
Inflammation and pain associated with cataract surgery
Endogenous anterior uveitis (inflammation of the uvea i.e. the middle part of the eye)
Talk to your Doctor, if you:
Are allergic or hypersensitive to Difluprednate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have or have ever had glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye that can lead to gradual loss of vision)
Have or have ever had herpes simplex virus (a virus that causes sores on the face, lips, genitals, and rectum and can also cause eye infections)
Have an any type of eye infection
Have diabetes
Have eye problems
Have slowed healing after surgery
Wear contact lenses
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
If you use more DIFLUP
If you used more than you should, rinse it all out with warm water. Do not put in any more drops until it is time for your next regular dose
In case of drug overdose, contact a doctor immediately
If you forget to use DIFLUP
Use the medication as soon as you remember the missed dose. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and use the medicine at your next regularly scheduled time. Do not use extra medicine to make up the missed dose. Do not double dose
If you stop using DIFLUP
Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so
Allergic (hypersensitivity) reactions: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat
Vision changes / with symptoms such as sudden vision loss, blurred vision, tunnel vision, eye pain, eye itching, irritation or redness, severe headache, sensitivity to light, foreign body sensation in eye
Eye swelling, weeping, drainage, crusting
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) (used to treat pain)
Vitamins, nutritional supplements
Ritonavir or cobicistat (used to treat HIV/AIDS)
Storage
Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
