What ENATRATE is used for?
It is used,
To relieve severe allergic reactions to drugs or other substances causing allergy
In the emergency treatment of shock due to a severe allergic reaction
Talk to your Doctor, if you:
Are allergic or hypersensitive to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have severe heart disease
Have any kidneys or brain related problems
Have an overactive thyroid, diabetes or glaucoma (high pressure in the eye)
Have phaeochromocytoma (a tumour on the adrenal gland)
Have low blood levels of potassium or high blood levels of calcium
Are going to have a surgery under general anaesthesia
ENATRATE will be given to you by a doctor or nurse
It will be injected either into a muscle or into the tissue just beneath the skin
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Serious
Sudden wheeziness, difficulty in breathing, swelling of the eyelids, face or lips, rash or itching (especially affecting your whole body)
Chest pain, shortness of breath, nausea or an irregular heartbeat
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
Monoamine oxidase inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants (used to treat depression)
Guanethidine propranolol, atenolol, bisoprolol, phentolamine (used to treat blood pressure)
Glipizide, insulin (used to treat diabetes)
Aminophylline, theophylline (used to treat asthma, COPD)
Corticosteroids (used to treat inflammatory conditions)
Diphenhydramine (used for the treatment of allergies)
Chlorpromazine, pericyazine or fluphenazine (used to treat psychotic disorders)
Medicines used to treat an underactive thyroid gland
Sympathomimetics (used to treat nervous system)
Storage
Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Store at a room temperature of 15-25ÂșC
