What EXNA K 40/5MG is used for?
It can be used to stop the buildup of extra water in body
Talk to your Doctor if you:
Are allergic to any other ingredients of this medicine
Have severe liver or kidney problems
Have Addison’s disease
Are an elderly patient with dementia
Have diabetes
Have low blood pressure
Have prostate problems
Have gout
Are going to have a glucose test
Have systemic lupus erythematosus
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
This medicine can be swallowed with a whole glass of water
Do not crush or chew the medicine
If you take more EXNA K 40/5MG
If you accidentally taken too many tablets, contact your doctor or go to your nearest hospital
Symptoms of overdose: dry mouth, feeling thirsty, muscle pain or cramps, vomiting, weak or uneven heartbeat, dizziness
If you forget to take EXNA K 40/5MG
If you forget a dose, take another as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, then do not take the missed dose at all
Do not take a double dose to make up for the forgotten dose
If you stop taking EXNA K 40/5MG
Do not stop taking this medicine without talking to your doctor
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Inflammation of the kidney (nephritis)
Swollen ankles or high blood pressure
Skin rashes, change in skin colour, severe blistering of the skin, being more sensitive to the sun than usual, high temperature (fever), and itching
Difficulty in breathing, cold clammy skin, pale skin colour and racing heartbeat
Severe stomach or back pain
Bruising more easily, getting more infections, feeling weak or tired more than usual
Yellowing of skin or eyes and urine becomes darker in colour
Tell your doctor if you are taking,

Theophylline (used for wheezing or difficulty in breathing)
