What ISOLIN 2MG is used for?
It is indicated for:
Mild or transient episodes of heart block that do not require electric shock or pacemaker therapy
Serious episodes of heart block and adams-stokes attacks (except when caused by ventricular tachycardia of fibrillation)
Use in cardiac arrest until electric shock or pacemaker therapy, the treatments of choice are available
Bronchospasm occurring during anaesthesia
As an adjunct to fluid and electrolyte replacement therapy and the use of other medicines and procedures in the treatment of hypovolaemic and septic shock, low cardiac output (hypoperfusion) states, congestive heart failure and cardiogenic shock
Talk to your Doctor, if you:
Are allergic or hypersensitive to Isoprenaline or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have tachyarrhythmias; tachycardia or heart block
Have ventricular arrhythmias
Have myocardial infarction
Have angina pectoris
Have seizures
Have hypertension
Have diabetes or hyperthyroidism
Have asthma
It will be given intravenous, intramuscular, subcutaneous or intracardiac routes by a doctor or nurse
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Common
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
Adrenaline, beta-adrenergic blocking agents, digitalis glycosides, MAOI's (used to treat heart problems)
Anaesthetics
Antidepressants, tricyclic or maprotiline (used to treat depression)
CNS Stimulants
Levodopa (used to treat parkinson’s disease)
Sympathomimetics (used to treat cardiac arrest and low blood pressure)
Thyroid hormones (used to treat thyroid disease)
Chlorpromazine (used to treat psychotic disorders)
Xanthines/corticosteroids (used to provide relief for inflamed areas of the body)

Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Store at a room temperature of 15-25ºC
