What LARIAGO SUSPENSION is used for?
It acts on the malarial parasite in the blood stream and may prevent, suppress or treat the disease depending upon the strain of parasite contracted and the progression of the disease
Talk to your Doctor, if you:
Are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Suffer from any blood disorders (porphyria, an inherited disease resulting in abnormalities in the normal production of healthy blood)
Suffer from kidney or liver problems
Suffer from epilepsy or diseases of the nervous system
Suffer from psoriasis (a skin condition)
Suffer from a severe disease of the digestive system
Have an inherited condition of glucose-6 phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency (favism)
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
If you take more LARIAGO SUSPENSION
If you take more than your prescribed dose, tell your doctor immediately
If you forget to take LARIAGO SUSPENSION
If you forget to take a dose, take the next dose when needed
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop taking LARIAGO SUSPENSION
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so
Red and lumpy skin rash, swollen eyelids, face, lips, mouth or tongue, itching, difficulty breathing or swallowing
Diarrhoea
Headache, tingling, burning or very sensitive skin, muscle weakness, cramps or balance problems
Hair loss
Darkening of the nails and mucus membranes (lips, mouth, genitals, anus and inner lids of eyes) if this medicine is taken for a long time
Unable to sleep (insomnia)
Blurred vision that lasts longer than 48 hours (this could lead to permanent damage to your eyes)
Feeling depressed
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
Amiodarone (used to control the heart rate)
Drugs used to treat infections
Ciclosporin (used by transplant patients but also used to treat rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis)
Anti-convulsant medicines (used to treat epilepsy)
Digoxin (used to treat heart problems)
Mefloquine (used to prevent malaria)
Drugs used to treat stomach problems
Kaolin (used for diarrhoea)
Neostigmine and pyridostigmine (used to treat myasthenia gravis)
Storage
Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
