NIZRAL 2% contains ketoconazole, which is an antifungal agent that targets an increased number of yeasts on the skin called Malassezia
NIZRAL 2% contains ketoconazole, which is an antifungal agent that targets an increased number of yeasts on the skin called Malassezia
It is used to treat and prevent dandruff and dry or greasy scaling of the scalp (seborrhoeic dermatitis)
It is also used to treat the inflammation associated with dandruff, relieving scalp redness and itching
Talk to your doctor before using this medicine, if you:
Are allergic to ketoconazole or to any other contents of this medicine
Ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breast-feeding
This product is for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
For external use only
Use every 3 or 4 days for 2 – 4 weeks
If your scalp has not cleared within 4 weeks, speak to your doctor
If the shampoo gets into your eyes wash with plenty of water
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them
Severe allergic reactions, including swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat
Application site reactions including itching, irritation, blistering, red, dry or tender skin or a skin burning sensation
Inflamed hair follicles, hair loss or changes in hair texture
Increased tear production
Skin rash and dry skin
Eye irritation
Acne
Skin inflammation (dermatitis)
Flaking skin
Tell your doctor if you are using any other products for scalp
Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Store at room temperature between (15-25ºC)
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
