What OCUPOL DX is used for?
It is used to treat:
Surface ocular infections involving the conjunctiva and/or cornea
Superficial bacterial infections of the external auditory canal
Infections of mastoidectomy and fenestration cavities
Steroid-responsive inflammatory ocular conditions
Chronic anterior uveitis and corneal injury from chemical, radiation or thermal burns, or penetration of foreign bodies
Talk to your doctor if you:
Are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have epithelial herpes keratitis (dendritic keratitis)
Have any viral disease
Have mycobacterial infections of the eye
Have fungal diseases of ocular structure
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
For ophthalmic use only
If you use more OCUPOL DX
If you use more of this medicine, contact your doctor or go to a nearest hospital immediately
If you forget to use OCUPOL DX
If you forget a dose, use it as soon as you remember it, however if it is nearly time for the next dose skip the missed dose
Do not use a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop using OCUPOL DX
Do not stop using this medicine without advice from your doctor
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Common
Irritation, itching, redness of eyes
Blurred vision
Sensitivity to light
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
Atropine (anti-cholinergic)
Corticosteroid therapy
Phenytoin, phenobarbitone (used to treat epilepsy)
Rifampicin (used to treat infection)
Salicylates
Storage
Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
