PHYTORAL SP SCALP contains ketoconazole and salicylic acid Ketoconazole belongs to antifungals. It works by killing the fungus Salicylic acid removes the dead cells from the outer layer of the skin and steadily reduces the size of the wart (Warts are caused by a virus which gets into the upper layers of the skin)

It is used, For fungal and yeast infections of the skin in adults To treat and remove raised warts (usually found on the hands, elbows or knees) and verrucas (warts on the feet)

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you: Are allergic to salicylic acid and ketoconazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine Ask your doctor for advice before taking any medicine if you are pregnant or breast-feeding PHYTORAL SP SCALP is not recommended for use in children

Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you The recommended dose is once or twice each day for 1 to 4 weeks Wash the infected skin and dry it well Rub the lotion gently into the affected area and surrounding skin with clean fingers Should apply PHYTORAL SP SCALP to the center of the wart therefore avoiding the surrounding healthy skin Do not use if the wart or skin surrounding it is inflamed or broken skin, on moles, birthmarks, unusual warts with hair growth, face, warts in the anal or genital region PHYTORAL SP SCALP is for external use only and should only be applied to warts Do not allow PHYTORAL SP SCALP to come into contact with mucous membranes (e.g. your mouth, nose and other body openings) or your eyes If you use more PHYTORAL SP SCALP If you use PHYTORAL SP SCALP more often than you should, it many cause some burning sensation, redness or swelling. Contact your doctor If you forget to use PHYTORAL SP SCALP If you forgot to use, apply when you remember or at the usual time If you stop using PHYTORAL SP SCALP Do not stop using unless told by your doctor

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Severe irritation or reddening of the skin Peeling or blistering of the skin Rash or itching affecting the normal skin around the wart Burning sensation Bleeding Discomfort Dryness Inflammation (contact dermatitis) Tingling Rash, hives (also known as nettle rash or urticaria) Sticky skin

Tell your doctor if you are taking: Other treatments on your warts Cream, ointment or lotion on your skin infection that contains a steroid

Keep this medicine out of reach of children Store at room temperature (15-25°C) Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
