What is PRUGO?
PRUGO contains Hydroxyzine,which belongs to a group of medicine called sedating antihistamines
What PRUGO is used for?
It is used to treat:
anxiety in adults
itching (pruritus) caused by allergic reactions in adults and children

Talk to your doctor if you:
are allergic to any other ingredients of this medicine
have a condition called porphyria
have heart problems
have low salt levels in your body (e.g. low level of potassium or of magnesium)
suffer from fits (convulsions)
have an eye disease called glaucoma
have liver or kidney disease
have stomach problems
have dementia (a loss of mental abilities such as remembering)
have a condition called myasthenia gravis which weakens the muscles
have constipation
have diabetes
are an alcoholic
Pregnancy & Breast Feeding
PRUGO should not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
Children & Adolescents
Your doctor will give the right dose depends on your child’s age and body weight
Driving & Using Machines
Do not drive or operate any machines while taking this medicine since it may affect your
concentration
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
Shake well before use
If you take more PRUGO
If you take more of this medicine, talk to your doctor or go to your nearest hospital immediately
If you forget to take PRUGO
If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember it, however if it is nearly time for the next dose skip the missed dose
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you Stop taking PRUGO
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells to do so
Like all medicines this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Serious
difficulty in breathing, swelling or fever
fits (convulsions)
fast heartbeat
chest tightening and have trouble breathing
blurred vision and difficulty focusing
inability to pass urine
palpitations or loss of consciousness
Common
feeling sleepy
dry mouth
headache
tiredness

difficulty sleeping
unable to concentrate
weakness
feeling sick
constipation
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
erythromycin, moxifloxacin, levofloxacin (used to treat bacterial infections)
pentamidine (used to treat fungal infections)
amiodarone, quinidine, disopyramide, sotalol (used to treat heart problems or high blood pressure)
haloperidol (used to treat psychotic disorders)
citalopram, escitalopram(used to treat depression)
prucalopride(used to treat gastro-intestinal disorders)
medicines to treat allergy
mefloquine (used to treat malaria)
toremifene, vandetanib (used to treat cancer)
methadone (used to treat drug abuse or severe pain)
betahistine (used to treat meniere’s disease)
phenytoin (used to treat fits)
adrenaline (used to treat severe allergic reactions)
medicines used to treat anxiety or help you sleep
anticholinergic medicines(used to treat irritable bowel syndrome)
cimetidine (used to treat stomach problems)
monoamine oxidase inhibitors (used to treat depression)

Keep this medicine out of reach of the children
Store at a room temperature of 15-25ºC
