What is CORALAN 7.5MG?
CORALAN 7.5MG contains Ivabradine
It works by reducing the heart rate by a few beats per minute and helps to improve the functioning of the heart
What CORALAN 7.5MG is used for?
It is used to treat,
symptomatic stable angina pectoris
chronic heart failure

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
are allergic to Ivabradine or to any other ingredients of this medicine
have slow heart rate before initiation of the treatment
are suffering from any other heart problems
suffer from very low blood pressure
suffer from severe liver problems or kidney problems
have had recent stroke
suffer from chronic eye retinal disease
Pregnancy & Breast Feeding
Do not take CORALAN 7.5MG if you are pregnant or are planning to have a baby or breast feeding
Ask for advice to your doctor before taking this medicine
Children & Adolescents
CORALAN 7.5MG is not intended for use in children and adolescents
Driving & Using Machines
CORALAN 7.5MG may cause temporary brightness in the field of vision
If this happens to you, do not drive or use machines
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
CORALAN 7.5MG should be taken during meals
If you are being treated for stable angina pectoris, chronic heart failure
The starting dose should not exceed one tablet of CORALAN 7.5MG 5 mg twice daily
The maintenance dose should not exceed 7.5 mg twice daily
The usual dose is one tablet in the morning and one tablet in the evening
If you are elderly your doctor may prescribe half the dose i.e., one tablet of CORALAN 7.5MG 2.5 mg in the morning and one tablet of CORALAN 7.5MG 2.5 mg in the evening
If you take more CORALAN 7.5MG
If you take more CORALAN 7.5MG than you should contact your doctor immediately
If you forget to take CORALAN 7.5MG
If you forget to take a dose of CORALAN 7.5MG, take the next dose at the usual time
Do not take a double dose to make up for the forgotten dose
If you stop taking CORALAN 7.5MG
Do not stop taking CORALAN 7.5MG without first consulting your doctor

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them
luminous visual phenomena
irregular rapid contraction of the heart
abnormal perception of heartbeat
uncontrolled blood pressure, headache, dizziness and blurred vision (cloudy vision)

palpitations
nausea
constipation, diarrhoea, abdominal pain
spinning sensation (vertigo)
difficulty breathing(dyspnoea)
muscle cramps
angioedema (such as swollen face, tongue or throat, difficulty in breathing or swallowing)
low blood pressure
fainting, tiredness
abnormal ECG heart tracing
double vision, impaired vision

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them

itching
skin reddening
feeling unwell

Tell your doctor if you are taking,
fluconazole (an antifungal medicine)
rifampicin, intravenous erythromycin (an antibiotic)
barbiturates, phenytoin (for difficult sleeping or epilepsy)
quinidine, disopyramide (to treat heart rhythm disorders)
bepridil (to treat angina pectoris)
pimozide, ziprasidone, sertindole medicines to treat anxiety, schizophrenia or other psychoses
anti-malarial medicines (such as mefloquine or halofantrine)
pentamidine (an antiparasitic medicine)
cisapride (against the gastro-oesophageal reflux)
furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, indapamide (used to treat oedema, high blood pressure)
Storage
Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
Store at room temperature (15-25ÂșC)
