What CTD T 6.25/80MG is used for?
It is used to,
Treat high blood pressure (hypertension)
Treat heart failure
Help reduce the fluid retention that occurs with some kidney or liver diseases
Treat diabetes insipidus
Tell your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
Are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active ingredient Telmisartan, Chlorthalidone or any of the other ingredients of CTD T 6.25/80MG
Have severe kidney or liver problems
Have low blood levels of potassium which can cause muscle weakness, muscle twitching or abnormal heartbeat
Have low blood levels of sodium which can cause tiredness, confusion, muscle twitching, fits or coma
Have high blood levels of calcium which can cause loss of appetite, tiredness or muscle weakness
Have ever had gout or kidney stones
Have Addison’s disease (which is a condition where your adrenal gland is not producing enough steroids)
Take CTD T 6.25/80MG exactly as your doctor tells you to take it
Your doctor will tell you how much CTD T 6.25/80MG to take and when to take it
Do not change your dose unless your doctor tells you to
Take this medicine one time each day at the same time
Take this medicine with or without food
If you take too much CTD T 6.25/80MG
If you take too much CTD T 6.25/80MG call your doctor, or go to the nearest hospital emergency room right away
If you miss a dose of CTD T 6.25/80MG
Take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to your next dose, do not take the missed dose. Take the next dose at your regular time
If you stop taking a dose of CTD T 6.25/80MG
Do not stop taking your tablets suddenly without your doctors advice
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Telmisartan
Injury or death to your unborn baby
Low blood pressure
Take water pills (diuretics)
Are on a low-salt diet
Get dialysis treatments
Have heart problems
Get sick with vomiting or diarrhoea
Swelling in your feet, ankles, or hands
Unexplained weight gain
High potassium in the blood (hyperkalemia)
Swelling of the face, tongue, throat
Difficulty breathing
Blistering of the skin or rash
Chlorthalidone
Muscles feel weak or will not work properly
Irregular heartbeat
Tell your doctor about all the medicines you take including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements or tell your doctor if you are taking the following medicines:
Digoxin
Lithium
Medicines used to treat pain and arthritis, called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), including COX-2 inhibitors
Ramipril, medicines used to treat your high blood pressure or heart problem
Diuretic
Storage
Store at room temperature (15-25°C)
Keep out of the reach and sight of children
Do not take this medicine after the expiry date
