LATOCOM contains Latanoprost and Timolol Latanoprost belongs to a group of medicines known as prostaglandin analogues. It is used to treat open angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension
Talk to your doctor before using this medicine, if you:
Are allergic to Latanoprost and Timolol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have or ever had respiratory problems such as asthma, severe chronic obstructive bronchitis
Have serious heart problems or heart rhythm disorders or coronary heart disease
Have poor blood circulation disease (such as Raynaud's syndrome)
Have diabetes
Have over activity of the thyroid gland
Have had any kind of eye surgery in the past (including cataract surgery)
Have suffer from eye problems (such as eye pain, eye irritation, eye inflammation or blurred vision, dry eyes)
Wear contact lenses
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
The recommended dose is one drop once a day in each affected eye
If you use this medicines with other eye drops
Wait at least 5 minutes between using these eye drops and using other eye drops
If you use more LATOCOM
If you use more LATOCOM you may experience some minor irritation in your eye, watery eyes and turn red. Contact your doctor immediately
If you forget to use LATOCOM
If you have forgotten to use your drops apply them as soon as possible on the same day
Do not take a double dose. Carry on with your next dose at the usual time
If you stop using LATOCOM
Do not stop using LATOCOM without talking to your doctor first
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Symptoms of allergic reaction (swelling and redness of the skin and rash)
Tell your doctor if you are taking medicines such as:
Prostaglandins, prostaglandin analogues or prostaglandin derivates
Medicines used to treat heart problems e.g. beta-blockers
Medicines used to treat in emergencies and allergic reactions e.g. epinephrine
Oral calcium channel blockers, guanethidine, antiarrhythmics, digitalis glycosides or para sympathomimetics used to treat high blood pressure
Quinidine used to treat heart conditions and some types of malaria
Fluoxetine and paroxetine used to treat depression
Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
Store the unopened bottle of eye drops in a refrigerator (2-8°C)
After opening the bottle, it is not necessary to store it in a refrigerator but do not store it above 25°C
After opening do not use the eye drops in this bottle for more than 4 weeks
